Closet Hiding & Online Shopping

I can often be found in many quiet places.
Adaline's closet... is not usually one of them.

Yes. Pepper and I were sitting in Adaline's closet. With just reason though.
Though far off, Elizabeth's birthday is on the 4th of November, and I was tasked with buying her some presents. October/Halloween prep is always the time to do it, as she gets so wrapped up that it's easy to sneak stuff past her.
So I, the quiet one, was quickly ushered to the closet while her back was turned today, during Halloween decorating. It helps that I'm not easily noticed when I disappear.

Pepper tagged along to help, although he spent most of his time trying to lick the screen of the laptop.

I scrolled through numerous sites on my search for presents, but I kept coming back to Etsy.
Our family is addicted to Etsy, and with good reason. One can easily find anything they're looking for on there.

"I've got something!" I finally exclaimed, staring at the screen as I impatiently clicked through the order process.

Pepper barked, as if in agreement, and I shushed him. I couldn't have him giving away our hiding spot!

I waited for the order to process, and then nodded, satisfied.

I shut the laptop and stood,

Pepper wagged his tail as I picked up the laptop, and I grinned at him.

I grabbed the laptop and pushed aside Adaline's clothes, exiting out of the dark space.

We walked slowly down the hall back toward the room where us gals reside. I mulled over the purchase I'd made.

I smiled to myself. Elizabeth would certainly be happy on her Birthday.

And I know, you're wondering what I bought.
But I can't possibly tell you. After all, there's no way we can possibly keep her off the blog.
So you'll just have to wait and see.
:-)

Lots of love,

(Note from Adi: I really want to thank you guys; I mean I've gotten 9 followers in 4 days. That isn't even a week. You guys are just incredible. I love each and every one of you. *wipes away tears and hugs you all*)

Little-Red Riding Hood Photo-Shoot

These are a few pictures from a photo-shoot a few days ago, done with Kaya who has already figured out that she's going to be Little Red for Halloween. Originally it was supposed to be like the story in the essence that the wolf was bad... but then Kaya and the wolf looked so cute together that I couldn't help but change it and make them friends. xD

This last picture is my blogger image and it was taken in front of my bedroom window. I have white netting that drapes down over my bed and it provided the cool sheer white background.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. ;)

(Quick Note: I've decided that I'm going to do a Halloween post once a week, leading up till the end of October. That way I can start doing more regular posts as well. Hopefully everything works out. :D)

Pre-Halloween Madness

First official post!!! And I, the lucky Felicity, get to write it! Yay!

So Halloween is a big deal to all of us here at The Shire. (We refer to our home as that a lot. It's more fun saying,"At the Shire," than, "At home." Right?!) We go all out for Halloween, with decorations, elaborate costumes, and delicious food cooked by Willow.
We've decided that this month we're going to do themed pre-Halloween posts, leading up the glorious day itself. We'll let you see our costumes, how we've decorated our home, and how we celebrate Halloween.
Today, I thought I'd show you what we did this morning.

Willow was testing out Halloween recipes, which is good news for the rest of us. We're her official taste-testers! =D

Cecile and Charlie were arguing over how to assemble the trick-or-treat baskets.

"We should stack them," Charlie repeated, for the third time that morning.

Cecile just shook her head and picked up two of the baskets from the pile on the floor.

"They'll fall if we stack them, plus it'll be harder for us to grab them on Halloween."
They continued to bicker, and in fact, I can still hear them arguing from where I am, in the office of the house.

Kaya had already planned out her costume, and McKenna was fixing her hair.

"Try pulling the braids tighter, MK. I can feel them slipping down."
"They're not slipping Kaya. I'm moving them."

Saige and Marie-Grace were upstairs, trying to find some good spooky music to play.
"Play that one again, Marie."
"It's not a Halloween song though..."
"It sounds like one."
"Mmm... alright."

And I... well, I was over to the side, trying not to suffocate as I squirmed into my costume.
Elizabeth stood by to help me, but we were still having issues.
"I think it's your hair, Lissie! The opening isn't big enough for your head when your hair is in a bun!"
I just grumbled and continued to tug on the dress.

Finally, after much tugging, the dress slipped over my head, and settled around my shoulders.
"YES!" I exclaimed. Elizabeth smiled and looked relieved.
"I thought we'd never get it on you..." Elizabeth trailed off, staring down at my feet.
"What's wrong?" I asked, pulling back the dress material.
"Well... nothing. I just don't think high-tops exactly go with that outfit."

Oops..?!

So that was most of our morning. And to think, we've still got a month to go 'till Halloween.
We hope you enjoyed this, and if you have questions about anything please ask below!
We hope you'll enjoy the next month of pre-Halloween posts!
We'll even try and showcase some crafts, as well!

Until next time,
