The future is bulletproof
The aftermath is secondary
It's time to do it now and do it loud
Killjoys, make some noise
The first being that this was by far one of my favorite sets of photos I've ever taken. I can't decide if they're up to par with some of my better quality pictures, but I love these mainly because the joy I experienced taking them was just wonderful.
I also realized what happened with my inspiration, and who I am as an AG blogger.
I will never be satisfied with taking regular pictures. I adore looking at others, but I can't find satisfaction in my own.
My mind revolves around stories. Setting, characters, objects. At the core of all that is music, and my personal interests. As a photographer, all I want to do is incorporate the things I love with the dolls that I photograph.
I think that's partially why lyric photo-shoots came to me. It combined music and pictures, and allowed me to add meaning to what would otherwise be another set of photos.
To sum things up; my spark is truly back, and with it has come the realization that my photos will always tell a story, whether or not other people understand it.
I'd really like to thank all of you guys for sticking with me since the beginning. It means more than y'all will ever know. ^-^

Adi, why'd ya go and kill me again? You're wicked talented, and I love the way your photography always revolves around something with music at the core, it always results in something breathtaking. Oh, and you have no idea how happy I am that your inspiration is back. ^_^ ♥

Any deaths caused are unintentional, I promise. ;)
DeleteThank you for your sweet words. Music makes up a lot of who I am, and it's safe to say that I am nothing without it. I think before I tried to squash the idea of incorporating it into what I did because some wouldn't understand it. But here I am. =)
Thanks again, M. Your comments always make my day. <3

Amazing pictures <3 I can almost feel MK and her character through the screen.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of always telling a story. Stories are marvelous things that allow us to express much more than we could without them. :)
- Ellie
Thank you, Ellie!
DeleteStories are marvelous, indeed. ^-^

Yes! I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt kind of looks like she's hunting something. Like a ray gun hunger games Star Wars battle! With nose rings.
I feel like you should write little snippets of stories to go along with these shoots. Not like a full on novel- those are hard to keep track of- but just scenes. IT WOULD BE SO COOL!
Just like her nose ring.

Oh, I like the idea of story snippets! I'll definitely try to incorporate that into photo-shoots, now. :)

Woah - this was amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always so neat because they tell a story... Like even the blog background, all the pictures. They all tell a story.
Inspiration is such a tricky things. It decides to take leave whenever it feels like it. Glad yours came back :)
Thank you, Autumn.
DeleteThat means a lot to me. I'm glad you like the story aspect of my pictures. :)
It is. Mine likes to fly away randomly and only return partially. :P

This was the post that did it. This was the post that got me into MCR. Its 6 years later and I still listen to MCR and I still have my dolls. I’m a junior in college now and i still think about you and this doll blog community we had going. None of the people here post anymore. Can’t even find Ellie’s blogs.
ReplyDeleteI hope you’re still out there, mags/adi, if not on the internet then at least on earth.
