YES. I finally get to write a post. I've been waiting (loudly complaining) sine we started the blog, and finally it was my turn to write a post. After all I, MK, helped come up with the blog name. It's only fair that I get to be one of the first gals to write something.
So enjoy fellow bloggers, and readers!
You're in for a treat.
I'm in the pictures.
I'm in the pictures.
"Hello Tauriel, care for a skateboard ride with yours truly?"
I grinned, as Saige paused; Pepper tugging anxiously against his harness.
"Stop calling me Tauriel, McKenna.I've asked you before not to. And... skateboarding? I don't know how to skateboard."
Pepper barked, as agreeing that Tauriel was, indeed, not suited for skateboarding.
"It's not that hard. Plus, I'm like a professional; I can teach you!"
Saige winced, and fidgeted with Pepper's leash.
"...Alright. But I promised I'd take Pepper outside, so he'll have to come with us."
I beamed at her, handing her one of the skateboards.
We made our way outside, and down to the driveway, where we'd have enough room to skateboard.
"So... what do I do exactly?!" Saige asked.
"Just watch me. I'll explain. It's easy as sitting and having a Lord of the Rings marathon for 9 hours."
I set my skateboard down on the ground, and then stepped on it.
"You just have to balance yourself and then lean forward; since we're on sloped ground." I did as I had said, and began to roll down the driveway.
Saige watched me as I went down, doing a fancy flip as I went.
At the end of the driveway I picked up my board, walking back to her. She looked nervous.
"It's really easy Saige. Just go down the driveway, and take it slow." I took Pepper's leash from Saige, as she puffed out her cheeks apprehensively.
She set her board down and stepped on it, a small smile breaking over her face.
Saige leaned forward, weight propelling her down the drive.
"That's it Saige! You're doing it!" I smiled, as Pepper barked excitedly.
"I am doing it!!!" She exclaimed.
"Watch out for rocks," I warned, "You don't want to-"
Saige, having tried to turn to see me as I spoke, fell and hit the ground with a loud thunk.
"Saige!" I yelled, running toward her, Pepper leading the way.
"Are you okay?!" I gasped, coming up to her. I felt extremely horrible. If she was hurt it would be my fault. And I'd feel even worse, considering I had told her skateboarding was easy.
Pepper's claws scratched against Saige's jacket as he tried to leap up and lick her face. Saige gave me a smile.
"Of course I'm alright! Just like riding horses almost; you fall, you gotta get back up!"
Relief rushed over me, and I helped my sister stand.
I made sure to stay close to her as I told her instructions, my hand pressed against her back so she couldn't fall.
We spent a long time skateboarding, and it was nice.
Though Saige and I share a room, we don't often do stuff together. We certainly had fun.
The best part though?
When this happened. Pepper had found my skateboard, and somehow that dog had gotten on it and was flying down the driveway like a pro!
I swear, I think he was better than me!
I sure had fun skateboarding with Tauriel today. I know she hates me calling her that, but I can't help it. She reminds me of the character so much, not just because of their red hair, but because they're both willing to do anything to be with others they care about. Sorry Saige! But you'll always be Tauriel to me. :)
Until a later date,
