Sheet Music ~ A Photo-shoot

If you haven't seen/read my About page then you may not know that I play an instrument. I play the viola, an instrument akin to the violin, but with deeper strings and a slightly larger size.
With playing an instrument, comes sheet music.
Lots. Of sheet music.
And with my crazy mind paired with that sheet music, these pictures were born. Enjoy. =D

Sheet Music: Courtesy of school handouts over the years and samples/paid for ones from online sites
MK's jacket: Bilbo Costume
Shirt: FromEchoWithLove on Etsy
Jeggings: Saige's Sweater Outfit (AG)
Shoes: Cecile's Meet Shoes
Beanie: ConverseDolls on Etsy

And quick note about MK: Some of you noticed MK's earrings. So to those who did not; Yes, MK does indeed have two ear piercings* at the top of her ear. Just wanted to let those who did not notice know. :)

You can click on the picture to see them bigger. In fact, you can always click on the pictures to make them bigger. xD

*They're not permanent but fairly sturdy. The small one is a sticky back gem, and the larger was dabbed with a small amount of clear glue. I've already picked it off and re-applied it to make sure that it'll come off if I choose be.

    1. That's so cool that you play violin! Some of my greatest friends played violins. =D
As for my favorite piece... I'm really fond of a song called Medieval Wars. It's such a fun piece for me to do, switching tones and tempos... I also LOVE Davy Jones' Organ from Pirates of the Caribbean. It's kind of slow but it sounds just amazing. And of course I love playing anything Owl City and Hobbit/Lotr. =D
And aww thanks! I quite liked these photos. :)

    1. Aww thanks Maddie! (I always want to call you Mad for some reason idk why xD)
Ah, why thank you. MK's earrings are my favorite thing I've ever done. :) Plus she looks quite amazing with them. xD
And oh pshh, the trumpet is awesome man! I've got a friend who plays the sax; we used to hang out in the band room after lunches. 'Course they got the bigger room though instead of Orch. :P
(But I'm not bitter. Oh no, not at all. xD)

    2. Hope you don't mind if I chime in here! :D Trumpet is also awesome!!!
I agree we hang out in the band room too! Hahahah I totally agree with you on that front. :D

    3. Oh of course not. Chime in anywhere; anytime! :)
And I can't quite understand why Band gets such a big room when we were shoved upstairs in what was a former classroom. :P
      BUT IT'S FINE.
      xD

    4. Hehe, you can call me Mad, I'm cool with that ^_~ ah, yes she does ;D my friend E plays the sax (and I play a little, my uncle used to play so he taught me a bit) =) haha, if it makes you feel any better, at my school, the Orchestra gets the cafeteria for ninth period rehearsals and that's it XD

    5. Thank goodness. It's been driving me nuts not to. xD
And that's so cool! My friend S would be so stoked by that. :D
And I would've preferred playing in the cafeteria than in that small classroom. :P
      xD

  4. Ahh! I love this! It is so beautiful yet unique at the same time! :) I play the flute and there are other instruments floating around my house. This reminds me of when we drop our music on the floor and it scatters all around. :D I hope that makes sense...it's a compliment. xD

    1. Aww thanks Mint! I strive to be unique but sometimes it's hard; luckily inspiration struck me this time around. xD
Oh the flute is a beautiful instrument; woodwinds are always great. =D
And haha, I understand! That's the effect I was going for; I should've just taken a pile, dropped it, and fixed the places where the floor showed through. xD

  6. Love it!! Such an awesome idea! Something to do with the thousands of music sheets we always get. I play the clarinet in band :0) I love MKs ear piercings, so realistic and cute. Are they actally pierced or stick-ons?

Ooh the Clarinet is cool; and yes, something to do with all those music sheets. xD
Aww thanks. :) The large one was dabbed with a bit of glue but it's easy to pry off, I've already done it and re-applied it. The smaller one is just a stick-on scrapbook gem. :)

  7. I play guitar, harmonica (not very good at it, though. I kinda taught myself), and piano (I play by ear, and I'm not very good at that, either;). I'm planning to get lessons for piano and violin soon :) My sister plays both piano and violin and my dad plays guitar ;) That photoshoot is such a creative idea, and I love MK's ear piercings! ;)

    1. Wow, lots of instruments! I'd love to play the piano, but learning a different scale will so not be easy for me. xD
      That's cool that you're getting lessons; I'm sure you'll be amazing! :)
And aww, why thank you. MK says thanks as well. :)

  8. This photo shoot is beautiful! I never thought of using sheet music for a photoshoot, that is really clever (plus I like you have plenty of it ;)) I didn't know you played the viola, that's awesome!

    1. Aww why thanks Ginny! Yeah, I'm not sure how it came to me but I was taking pictures of MK in front of the wall in my room and suddenly it just hit me and I flew into action. And yes, I certainly have plenty of it. xD
      Haha, yep! I'm a violist! :)

    2. The viola is amazing :) I play the violin, but I know many people who play the viola too! :D Your idea was brilliant though!

Aww thank you! That means a lot. =D

    4. I just saw one of your comments above about getting shoved into a tiny room for orchestra; in elementary school, my orchestra got the TINY practice room and the band got the huge one! Our orchestra was bigger than theirs too :P And then last year, we went to a ton of festivals because I was in a Symphony. And even if the orchestra kids were the main focus of the festival, they still got called "the band kids." It was soooo frustrating, so I totally get how you feel about the whole small orchestra room thing :P

    5. My elementary school orch room was bigger than our middle school room. Which was freaking ironic considering that our middle school orch was 4x as big. And band got this huge room with lots of extra space while we tripped over our own cases. :P
And ha, I know how you feel. Don't get me wrong, I love band people, my friend is in band, but omg sometimes they annoy the heck out of me. We're just as freaking important. WE CAN PERFORM DURING AUDITORIUM EVENTS TOO. xD

    6. Yeah I know seriously, band kids are great; I got to know a lot of them; but they think that they are the only musicians! I have two frineds who are in marching band, and they are really sweet, but at lunch all they talk about is band, and the whole time I'm thinking, "Seriously? All you ever talk about is band." I'm sorry that your room was so small :( We had to share with the band, and seriously, fifty-two band and orchestra and percussion kids does not go over too well :P YES, WE KNOW HOW TO PERFORM FOR THE SCHOOL TOO :D
      ~<3Ginny~

    7. I know, it's almost like a band cliche where they disregard orch people. Like really? I'm a person too. And I have a freaking pointy bow don't make me hurt you. xD
Eh it's alright. We suffered through it. The most annoying thing though was that I believe the band got a grant for new instruments or whatever. Like really? Really?! xD
And ooh, band and orch shoved together doesn't sound pleasant. xD
AND YAS. LET US PERFORM PEOPLE. xD

    8. It was actually kind of fun, but seriously, our trumpets other than like one had no talent :P Yeah, I don't think they realize how pointy our bows actually are! :) I have one friend who won't touch a violin or viola because she broke my other friend's fingerboard off though. She's a band kid ;)

    9. Glad it was fun then! Stinks about the trumpets though. :P
IKR?! They'd realize it too late probably. xD
That stinks that she broke the fingerboard, but I guess it's good that she keeps her distance. =D

  9. I totally get the small rehearsal space issue. When I was in elementary school we had to share a room with the band! Now we have our own room in high school because we have over 200 people in our orchestra program (not in all one orchestra of course!) Oh by the way, I have played a bunch of the songs in your pictures mostly the Christmas ones but also the Pirates of the Carribean. I remember liking that song, but haven't played it in like 3 years, I kinda forgot I even had it until I saw your pics, I may go and play it today . . .

    1. Ugh small rehearsal spaces just bug me. xD
That's really nice to have a big room. Cramming a lot of people with bows into a small room gets ugly. :P
Haha, really? That's great. I don't usually play the Christmas ones; we were bombarded with them when we had a project to get into small groups and perform them.
I like the Pirates of the Caribbean pictured, but I prefer the ones from the music book I have. More suited to viola's than the school-designed one. xD
